Paul Hopfensperger - Chairman (England)
Paul was a member of the former Bury St Edmunds Swimming Club from the age of 4. He competed for both club and county (Suffolk), and in 2006 turned his attentions to open water swimming. He has completed 2 x solo swims of The English Channel, represented England at 2 x FINA World Cup Open Water Grand Prix in Mexico & Serbia, as well as competing in many open water events around the UK, winning the final round of the 2008 BLDSA championship. He has crewed on 2 x successful channel swims. He is one of the two founding members of IOWSA and is an Herbalife Personal Wellness Coach, Sports Massage Therapist and a Certified NLP Practitioner at Body and Mind Studio in the UK.

Beccy Hopfensperger - Hon. Secretary (England)
Beccy has spent many hours on the beach in Dover, England helping with the feeding of English channel swimmers and channel swimming aspirants while her husband trained in Dover Harbour for his channel swims. Beccy has crewed on both her husband's channel swims as well as his FINA World Cup Open Water Grand Prix in Mexico & Serbia. She is vastly experienced at being a committee member having been a local councillor since 2004. In 2006 she was the Mayor of Bury St Edmunds, and is currently a serving Suffolk County Councillor holding the position of Chairman of a Scrutinee Committee as well as being a Massage Therapist and Kinesio Taping therapist at Body and Mind Studio in the UK.

Keith Bartolo - Committee (Malta)
Keith is an ASA UK Lane swimming coach, a Future Fit UK Fitness Instructor and holds a Batchelor's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Malta. He is currently studying for a Masters degree. He has been an open water swimmer for over 6 years having switched from being a triathlete for 7 years. He is a member of B'Kara St Joseph Sports Club in Malta and has competed all over the world in open water events including events in Australia, Italy, various BLDSA events in the UK as well as events organised by his club in Malta.

Chris Eynon - Committee (England)
Chris is an open water swimmer who was part of a successful English Channel relay swim at the age of 16 in 2005. His open water swimming experience since then shows his pedigree: Bronze Medal winner ASA 5KM Grand Prix series '06, '07 and '08, National Open Water silver medalist age group championships 2007, Winner of the BLDSA Lake Windermere championships 2007, Record Holder for fastest BLDSA lake Windermere champs, 4 times US Masters National Champion, BLDSA Champion of Champions winner 2008, Qualified Surf Life Saver (GB Beach Lifeguard), Assistant coach for the team Bath age group squad, Assistant coach for B.E.S.T. (www.bestswim.co.uk). He is currently studying for a BA(Hons) Degree in Coach Education and Sports Development at the University of Bath.
